Birdhouse Prints: Shipping and Delivery Policy
We want to make sure your art arrives in perfect condition and as quickly as possible. Please review our shipping standards below.
1. Order Processing Times
- Standard Orders: All orders are processed within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday).
- High Volume Periods: During collection launches or holidays, processing may take up to 5 business days. We will notify you via email if there is any significant delay.
- Note: Processing time is the time it takes to frame and pack your order before it is handed to the courier.
2. UK Shipping Rates & Estimates
We partner with a range of reliable couriers, including Royal Mail, Evri, and DPD, to ensure your artwork is delivered safely and efficiently. The specific carrier used is selected based on the size, weight, and destination of your order.
- Standard Tracked Shipping: £3.50 (Free on orders over £50).
- Fully Traceable: Regardless of the carrier, every order is sent via a Tracked Service.
- Estimated Delivery Time: 2–3 business days after dispatch for most UK mainland addresses.
- Signature Requirements: For larger framed collections or high-value orders, a signature may be required upon delivery.
3. International Shipping (Customs & Duties) For customers outside of the UK, please note:
- EU Customers (Post-July 2026 Rules): Due to new EU customs regulations, all orders under €150 are now subject to a flat customs duty and VAT at your local rate. These fees are collected at checkout/delivery and are the responsibility of the buyer.
- Rest of World: Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes once a shipment reaches your country. Birdhouse Prints is not responsible for these charges if they are applied.
4. Tracking Your Order Once your order has shipped, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email containing your tracking number. The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
5. Delivery Restrictions
- We currently do not ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses due to courier restrictions on framed glass/art.
- All deliveries require a safe place or a recipient to be present; if a delivery is missed, please follow the instructions on the courier's "Missed Delivery" card.
6. Damages & Issues Birdhouse Prints is responsible for the safety of your items until they are delivered to you.
- If your order arrives damaged (e.g., broken glass or a dented frame), please contact us within 48 hours.
- Please include photos of the damaged item and the external packaging. We will arrange a replacement at no extra cost to you.
7. Lost Packages If your tracking information shows "Delivered" but you haven't received your package, please check with neighbours or your local sorting office first. If it is still missing after 3 business days, contact us so we can open an investigation with the courier.
